Trends to Continue Watching Tonight:

Alexander Steen: A surprise emergence from the Blues, Steen has 15 points in the last month.  He’s slowed down a little bit, but does have 4 points in his last 3 games.

Patric Hornqvist: His ownership is almost at 50% meaning I may stop mentioning one of my favorite players to watch this season. No surprise he has 9 points in the last 7 games and is playing at the Olympics.

Guillaume Latendress: With his speed I’m not surprised that he’s taking his game to the next level in Minnesota. He has 19 points in 24 games since being traded and 12 points in his last 8 games.

Waiver Fodder:

Mike Brodeur: The lesser known goalie with the famous last name has won his 3 starts for Ottawa.   Maybe there is just something about that name.

Josh Baily: His 7 game streak came to an end last game. He had 12 points over that span and I think he’s worth keeping around for a few to see if he starts up again.

Steve Downie: He should be written down on list of players you want to own in fantasy hockey. He has 6 points and 25 PIMs in the last 7 games.

Matt Cullen: I last mentioned his name in a trade and I still think that’s going to come as we approach the deadline.  In the meantime pick him up because he has 6 points in his last 7 games.
